Justin Boy at rest in Peggy's Cove

My most recent watercolour and ink painting features a beautiful blue fishing boat called "Justin Boy" at rest in Peggy's Cove. I worked from a photograph I took while visiting Nova Scotia in September 2025.
If you're familiar with many of the photographs posted by people visiting Peggy's Cove, you've probably seen this fishing boat in the background. There are several boats that stand out with their bright red or bright blue colours in this scenic harbour.
Peggy's Cove is a magnet for photographers and artists because of the amazing scenery - the iconic lighthouse, the fishing boats and dories, and of course the shops.
If you're visiting the east coast, Peggy's Cove is a "must-see"! I'm working on a painting of the Lighthouse next...I think I've still got the East Coast in mind - there were so many beautiful sights.
This painting was created in a 11 x 14 inch size, and has been matted and framed to 18 x 20 inches. It is ready to hang.
